Atis Lejiņš
(September 28, 1942 in Jelgava) - Latvian political scientist and politician, an expert in international re lations and a specialist in the field of security policy, the Dir ector of the Latvian Foreign Policy Institute (since 1992) and th e Foundation for Freedom and Solidarity (2008), Vice LSDSP. He graduated from high school in Australia. In 1968 he received a masters degree in history at the University of California, Los Angeles. In the eighties, was educated at the doctorate of history at Stockholm University.
